




Dr. Kathi Harris, born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education after attending university in the United States. A passionate environmental advocate, she champions responsible stewardship of the Earth and its inhabitants, urging us to protect the only home we have.
A dynamic and multifaceted creator, Dr. Harris is an educator, speech writer, playwright, poet, counselor, life coach, digital content creator, and author. Her debut science fiction novel, Medusa: The Beginning, launched the series, The Lark Song Chronicles. Writing under the pen name KD Harris, she followed with Bloodlines - Awakening, a paranormal young adult prequel. She also penned the Bloodlines micro-series for the internet and is currently completing Book 2 of Bloodlines and Books 2 and 3 of Medusa, which will conclude the written saga.
As the series transitions from page to screen, Dr. Harris is collaborating with a team of writers and a producer to adapt Medusa into a feature film – marking an exhilarating new chapter in her creative journey.
Beyond speculative fiction, Dr. Harris has authored short stories and screenplays and is now developing an exciting children’s book series titled The Incredible Adventures of Amara, Kaya, and Khari. Dr. Harris lives with her family in the American Heartland, drawing on her Jamaican heritage and migration story to inspire and uplift through storytelling.
